Earth Day on the Beach

This year we held our annual Earth Day Celebrations on the beach where we encouraged care for our shores with a clean-up. Families contributed to the buffet while Little Gems organised fun and games. Good thing we reminded everyone to pack extra clothes because suddenly it was time for a swim! Fun had from everyone, and we raised a total of €390 towards our outdoor classroom!
Consultancy in Bulgaria
March 2016
This Spring, Carola and Emma were asked to come and visit Peekaboo Montessori in Sofia, Bulgaria as Montessori consultants. While there they observed Toddler, 3-6 and 6+ classrooms and provided any insight into streamlining their individual programs. While there they also held a Literacy Workshop for the parents where they covered the Montessori approach to reading and writing.

Little Gems Montessori Larnaca & Nicosia recently went through the thorough MEAB Accreditation Process. While Nicosia's accreditation was renewed, Larnaca also gained their first golden triangle, while simultaneously being approved and recognised as a Distance Learning Training Centre for Montessori Centre International (London, UK).
Beach Clean Up
April 2014
In Spring 2014 we organised a cross school initiative to clean up the Larnaca Municipal Beach. Both schools arrived in the morning with buckets, bags, gum boots and shovels for a thorough clean of our local beach, and then a big dig afterwards in nature's ultimate sandbox!
