LATE COLLECTION

If a child has not been collected from Nursery we follow certain steps.

KEY PERSON

The UK’s early years regulations, which Little Gems also follows, stipulates that each child should have their own ‘key person’ who is responsible for their care and education in a nursery setting.

SAFEGUARDING

Little Gems Montessori Nursery will work with children, parents and the community to ensure the rights, welfare and safety of all children and to give them the very best start in life.

7.

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

As the needs of all children are special in some way, we intend to recognize those needs which can be met within the normal framework of the classroom and those for which some additional resources can be provided either from within the school or from outside agencies, as required.

8.

ALLERGY AWARENESS

To provide a safe learning environment for all children/families and to raise awareness of allergies at Little Gems Montessori Nursery, by lessening the possibility of allergic reactions to allergies.

9.

BIRTHDAY CAKE POLICY

This is an effort to implement healthy food guidelines, focus on childhood nutrition, health and wellness, and obesity prevention.

10.

BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT

We aim to encourage self-discipline, consideration and respect for others, for self and the property within the nursery environment, while also promoting positive behaviour at all times.

11.

BITING & BITING INCIDENTS

We acknowledge that biting is a common behaviour among young children. However, stopping a child from biting is not always easy.
