"The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six ... At no other age has the child greater need for an intelligent help, and any obstacle that impedes his creative work will lessen the chance he has of achieving perfection"
- Maria Montessori

Montessori for Toddlers = Optimal Early Learning

Your toddler has a once in a lifetime opportunity to absorb information from the environment, like a sponge. That’s why Montessori for toddlers is more than just childcare: we provide a toddler with the ideal environment to make the most of this irreplaceable period of time.

Dr. Montessori discovered that during the toddler time, a young child has a special aptitude for learning certain things:

  • They are especially sensitive to order – and we build on that interest to establish good habits that last a lifetime.

  • They are able to absorb language from their environment – learning even big words easily and with pleasure – and becoming happier as they learn the words to express their needs, rather than needing to resort to crying or tantrums.

  • They are eager to learn to take care of themselves, to become independent – and we guide them to learn how to do things by themselves, thereby developing their budding sense of self-efficacy.

Enrolling your child in a Montessori toddler program, rather than at a childcare center, has many benefits. Here are just a few for you to consider:

  • Fewer toddler struggles. Montessori toddlers learn how to actually do things by themselves, making family meals more fun, and getting out of the house easier.

  • A child who learns to play happily by himself. Montessori toddlers learn to play independently. You may be surprised how your 2-year-old can occupy himself happily, without your constant attention, no TV baby-sitting needed!

  • Being part of a group.  At this age children are mostly concerned about "I, Me & Myself".  Group activities are therefore introduced to our toddlers where we learn how to care for one another and work together - skills needed for moving into their next classroom.

  • A huge spurt in language capability. Many parents report that their children’s vocabulary increased dramatically within a few months of joining our program. Better language skills = more fun interactions with your child, and fewer tantrums caused by not being understood!

Preschool / Vertical Group (3 - 6 years)

An authentic Montessori program for children ages 3 – 6 years

The essential purpose of a Montessori education is to offer each child an environment in which he or she can develop the skills and habits they need for a lifetime of learning and happiness.

Dr. Montessori (1870-1952), the first woman physician in Italy and a pioneer in early education, recognized the critical importance of childhood learning. She spent many decades creating “The Montessori Method”, an integrated program tailored to meet the developmental needs of young children.

At age two or three, a child is at the beginning of his intellectual and personal journey. What a child does or does not do during the next four to six years will substantially shape their future: unbeknownst to themselves, their early experiences, observations, thoughts and choices will crystallise into a characteristic way of thinking and a formed personal identity. During children's preschool years, they will habituate certain methods of using their mind, draw certain bedrock judgments about the world and themself, and as a result form their basic personal character.

The Montessori Method provides the crucial framework a child needs to make the most of his or her precious early years. It enables them to develop motor and social skills; to learn handwriting, reading and basic numeracy; and to grow into a capable, confident young person eager to explore the fascinating world around them.
