Do you enjoy working with young children? Do you have experience assisting in classrooms, nannying, or substitute teaching? Little Gems Montessori is seeking caring Assistant Teachers to work in our mixed-age Montessori classrooms!

• Prior Montessori experience is beneficial, but NOT required

• Immediate start, or September 2021

• The applicant must be fluent in English

• Greek language skills are seen as an advantage

ABOUT THE ROLE

​

In this full-time role, you’ll be teaming with our Montessori trained lead teachers to support our children, ages 2-6, in the unique Montessori environment. Your role will be to foster independence, helping children do everything from using the bathroom to cutting fruits and vegetables independently.

​

You will:​

• Observe children to determine where you can help them to grow

• Help maintain the Montessori “Prepared Environment”

• Guide children into activities while the Montessori Lead delivers individual curriculums

• Communicate your understandings to your teaching team

• Never have a dull moment! :)
